Why Skeddule Needs Location Access

Skeddule’s mobile app requires location access primarily to ensure the safety and security of all security personnel during their shifts. Location tracking enables organisations to:

  • Ensure Staff Safety: Monitor the real-time location of security personnel during their shifts for welfare checks and emergency response
  • Verify Incident Reports: Accurately document the location of any incidents or emergencies reported through the app
  • Geofencing Verification: Confirm that staff members are physically present at their assigned work location when signing on and off shifts

Our Commitment to Privacy

At Skeddule, we take your privacy seriously. Here’s how we handle location data:

  • Location tracking is only active during your shift – from sign-on to sign-off
  • Location tracking automatically stops as soon as you sign off from your shift
  • We do not collect or store location data outside of active work hours
  • Location data is used solely for work-related purposes and is securely stored
  • Your location information is only visible to authorised personnel within your organisation

How to Update Location Permissions on Android and iOS devices

Update Permissions on Android

  • Open your device Settings
  • Scroll to and tap on Apps (or Application Manager)
  • Find and tap on Skeddule
  • Tap on Permissions
  • Find Location permission
  • Select “Allow all the time”

Update Permissions on iOS

  • Open your device Settings
  • Scroll down and tap on Skeddule
  • Tap on Location
  • Select “While Using the App” or “Always”
  • For optimal performance, we recommend selecting “Always”
  • If prompted, tap “Allow” to confirm your choice

Important Notes

  • Without proper location permissions, you won’t be able to sign on to your shifts
  • If you’re having trouble signing on, please verify your location permissions using the guides above
